Conditions and Issues Treated:

TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) Pain

You will benefit from my use of external techniques for muscles of the face, neck, and jaw (masseter, buccinator, hyoids, sternocleidomastoid, scalenes, etc) as well as sensitive intra-oral techniques (working inside the mouth with sterile gloves, with the medial and lateral pterygoid muscles and fascia). This provides relief and can restore function.

Whether you are experiencing pain due to acute strain from dental procedures or from long term, habitual jaw clenching and teeth grinding, over time, the health of your TMJ and your pain level can truly improve.

Clients receiving Botox Therapy for jaw tension are excellent candidates for this work, because over time it helps the muscles to be less prone to habitual clenching and tension.

Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, sciatic pain, piriformis syndrome, plantar fasciitis, hand & wrist issues, post hip surgery rehab, scar tissue massage, general & specific back pain.

You will be thoughtfully assessed and treated in accordance with your specific body situation, and many clients are surprised at what myofascial release can offer. My approach makes a deep, palpable, sustainable impact, and is based on the groundbreaking work of Tom Myers, Dr. Jean Claude Guimberteau, and Drs. Janet Travell & David Simons.

Working this way addresses the underlying causes of myofascial restrictions, and normal, unconscious postural patterns, while enhancing your body’s ability to improve its range of motion, structural integrity, and movement fluidity. In short, you feel less creaky and pained, and more comfortable, responsive, & supple.
